Hi Dev team for Bit Form. Your “Form” app is almost suitable for e-signature, having already provided (1) signature, (2) read-only action to prevent further edits, (3) double-opt in to prove ownership of email address. At the moment, however, we are forced to continue using a paid e-sign service. Here’s what functionality we need from Bit Form, which could be an easy upgrade: (a) we need staff [admin] users to pre-populate fields such as “Discount” / “Your special price” / “Bespoke service description”, and importantly the email address of the signer, then (b) an action button marks the form fields as read-only and sends double-opt-in to the recipient (“signer”), and (c) once they click the double-opt-in link in the email the “Signature” field needs to be completed by them.
This seems such an easy upgrade, and a HUGE attraction to abandon other “e-sign” services, I can’t understand why this functionality is not already available. Were there some insurmountable challenges for the Devs?
